We use our RatioAnalyst to do this; the same one that was used to merge the three banks in Iceland for the Parliament Special Investigative Commission (SIC) back in 2009. Competitive analysis reveals important information about competitor financing, liquidity position and revenue generation relative to your business and is used to identify competitor weaknesses. This service requires that your financial report be included. As sensitive data is involved, part of that process is usually carried out at client premises. |

PROCESSFinancial situation analysis is an assessment of competitor operating condition and is based on competitor income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement. Performance measures (e.g. profitability, activity, leverage, asset management and liquidity) and statistical methods are used to extract competitor growth strategy and detect operational strengths and weaknesses. Internal situation analysis looks for improvement opportunities within the client operation whereas External situation analysis examines the market environment and target audiences for market positioning assessment. The insight provided forms the basis of the Competitive analysis - which includes a SWOT analysis and matrix outlining competitor strengths and weaknesses - and is used for strategic market penetration. |
